Post-Partum Depression Awareness Training
On
September 19, 2006, the Public Policy Committee recommended that the Board of
Bishops support clergy and pastoral assistants participating in Post-Partum
Depression Awareness training. The PPC
also asked the Bishops to designate a contact in each diocese to participate in
an ad hoc coordinating group Chaired by Marlene Laó-Collins.
The
Board of Bishops approved the PPC recommendation and on Friday, May 25, 2007
announced the formal start-up of the program at a press conference at the
