Postcard Campaign:
Each
organization is asked to participate in the postcard campaign that will involve
a larger constituency such as employees, volunteers, patients, and
consumers. Our goal is to get large
volumes of postcards out to the Governor and legislators. Each organization is asked to donate the cost
of the postcard and mailing. Let’s
flex some muscle and THINK BIG!!!
Postcards
should be addressed to the Governor’s Office, Assembly and Senate
representatives of the individuals home or work district (a total of four
postcards). Give special attention to
members of the Assembly Budget and the Senate Budget and Appropriations
Committees. See lists attached.
Setup a
table in the lobby areas, lunchrooms or other visible locations of your
hospitals, clinics, shelters, emergency services, etc. Using the sample message
below, individuals can write out the message and leave in a designated place or
box nearby. Please select someone that will count and mail out the postcards,
that person should report the numbers to Marlene or Suzanne at
609-599-2110.
This
campaign should start immediately simultaneously with letter writing campaign.
DON’T
FORGET: Keep track of the number of
postcards sent out by your group and report this number to New Jersey Catholic
Conference at 609-599-2110, please send by June 13th.
